Areas of Practice

Behavior Planning

Behavior planning is a main area of focus throughout our programs. We understand that every child is unique and have needs that can vary widely, which is why we personalize our programs for every area of development. In Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy, we look at the area of behavior that your child is expressing. We collaboratively identify inappropriate behaviors and focus on supplementing them with appropriate functional behaviors.

Pre-Academic Skills

When it is time for a child to begin school, there are a lot of new experiences waiting for them and a lot of new skills they may need to practice. We have a firm understanding of what a child will be faces with when they first enter school, and we do our best to ensure that our clients are prepared to transition into a school setting when that time comes. Utilizing our program and coordinating with school staff, we provide the extra support that our clients need in order to be successful in school.

Language and Communication

Communication is an important life skill that children learn from a very young age. Unfortunately it is very common for many children with autism to have delays in speech and difficulty in communicating with others. Our ABA program has a strong emphasis on teaching communication and language. From day one we focus on teaching our clients how to advocate for themselves by requesting items and activities they want and need.

Social Skills

Social skills can serve as a foundation for success in many other areas of development. We implement social skills in each of our individualized programs. First, we break social skills down into small components such as eye contact and body language. These skills will later lead to a child engaging in interactive play, reciprocal conversation, responding to initiations from others and initiating play and conversation independently.

Fine and gross motor skills

We use our motor skills everyday to help us physically navigate the world around us. Unfortunately, developing these skills can be extremely challenging for children with autism. Through our personalized ABA programs, we pinpoint which developmental skills your child needs in order to complete daily activities. By teaching fine and gross motor skills, we help your child become independent in a variety of aspects of life.

Daily Living Skills

Whether it’s getting dressed, combing hair, toilet training, feeding programs or transitioning between settings or routines, we cover it all. Our goal is to help your child become as independent as possible.
